I.                   GEOGRAPHY

A.        Geographical Location -         It is one of the 26 barangays of the City of Meycauayan.  Located at the southeastern part of the town, it is 6.5 kms. from the new City Hall.

                                   

                                    Caingin is bounded on the north by Brgy. Lawa, on the south by City of Valenzuela, on the east by Brgy. Lawa and on the west by Brgy. Tugatog.

B.        Land Area       -           54.721 has. (0.54721 sq. kms.)

C.        Terrain             -           Slightly swampy area with rugged terrain at the eastern portion and gently sloping to undulating; categorized as 2-5% slope range.

D.        Season             -           Dry and wet

A.                Demography

1.      Population

Based on the 2007 NSO Survey on Population, there were 4,621 inhabitants in Brgy. Caingin.  It is the 17th most populated barangay in City with a 2.35% of the total municipal population of 196,569.

2.      Population Projection

      The projected population of the barangay up to the year 2015 using the geometric method of computing population growth rate is enumerated below.
