I.                    GEOGRAPHY

A.        Geographical Location -          It is one of the 26 barangays of the City  of Meycauayan.  Located at the southern part of the town, it is 7.0 kms. from the new City Hall.

                                   

                                    Banga is bounded on the north by Brgys. Hulo &  Calvario, on the south by Brgys. Bancal &  Tugatog, on the east by Brgy. Tugatog and on the west by Brgy. Bancal.

B.         Land Area        -           25.085 has. (0.25085 sq. kms.)

C.         Terrain             -           Partly moderate slope range 0-1% category; swampy along northeastern portion and suitable for marine life; the southeastern and western parts are flat, nearly level land and suitable for human inhabitants.

D.        Season             -           Dry and wet

A.                 Demography

1.      Population

Based on the 2007 Survey on Population, there were 2,789 inhabitants in Brgy. Bañga.   It is the 6^th least populated barangay in the City of Meycauayan with a 1.4188% of the total city population of 196,569.

      The projected population of the barangay up to the year 2015 using the geometric method of computing population growth rate is enumerated below.
