HISTORY OF BAGBAGUIN
Barangay Bagbaguin came from the word “Bagbag” which means to broke (sirain). Long ago, there are two siblings who lived in a mountainous place. They are used to break the stones and rocks around the place. Until the rocks and stones are totally broken and the place was paved. The two siblings called their place Barangay Bagbag. There are many people who go to their place and ask what is the name of this barangay. They said that it was Barangay Bagbag. But others pronounce it Bagbaguin. People who go there and lived used to pronounce their barangay as Barangay Bagbaguin. There are many years passed the community people decided to change the name of their barangay from Barangay Bagbag into Barangay Bagbaguin. As of today, it is now called Barangay Bagbaguin. It is one of the 24 barangays of Meycauayan City of Bulacan. It became a one of the successful and progressive barangay in Meycauayan City.
