CITY OF MEYCAUAYAN, BULACAN


I.                   GEOGRAPHY

A.        Geographical Location -         It is one of the 26 barangays of the City of Meycauayan.  Located at the northeastern part of the town,  it is presently the seat of local government of the City of Meycauayan.
                                   
                                    Camalig is bounded in the north by the Municipality of Marilao, on the south by Brgys. Pantoc,  Iba & Perez, on the east by Brgy. Pajo &  Brgy. Perez and on the west by Brgy. Pantoc.

B.        Land Area       -           245.504 has. (2.45504 sq. kms.)

C.        Terrain             -           Gently sloping to undulating; categorized as 2-5% slope range; suitable for human inhabitants.

D.        Season             -           Dry and wet

II.                SOCIOLOGY

A.                Demography

1.      Population
The year 2007 NSO Survey registered 6,895 inhabitants, an increase of 2,664 or 62.96%.  It is the 13th  most populated barangay in the City with a 3.5% of the total city population of 196,569.

      The projected population of the barangay up to the year 2015 using the geometric method of computing population growth rate is enumerated below.
